Electrolysis is the only method of hair removal authorized by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to advertise as "Permanent Hair Removal." Precise & tailored to any skin type & color. Works for anyone all year round. Unlike waxing and laser hair removal, Electrolysis works on all types of hair and all shades of skin.
Electrolysis is safe for people of all ages including women who are pregnant (but you should consult your doctor).
Mary DeAngelis has been practicing electrology since 1997, she is licensed and certified to engage in the practice of electrology by the State Board of Medical Examiners & the Division of Consumer Affairs. She has consistently proven her reliability and professional skills with the success stories of thousands of clients. Dedicated to continuing education, she constantly upgrades her skills and her knowledge of the latest innovations in the field.
In order to permanently destroy hair, the root must be disabled. An expert electrologist glides a tiny, sterile filament into the hair follicle. Then a gentle pulse of heat and/or electricity is applied to the root of the hair, disabling it.
Each hair is removed during the session, leaving you with an immediately smoother, cleaner look. Our bodies grow hair in cycles over many weeks and months, so a series of treatments is needed for permanent results. Because of its incredible precision, electrolysis is deemed permanent by the FDA and the AMA.
Most patients experience minimal discomfort, as an expert electrologist is able to tailor treatments to accommodate different sensitivity levels. Topical anesthetics are available if needed.
Healing can be quite rapid. We will apply warm compresses and soothing topicals to the treatment area. Many patients have a treatment and go right back to the office!
When performed by a licensed electrologist, it is safe for all hair and skin types. Needles are sterile and disposable. All treatments and sterilization procedures are conducted with strict adherence to CDC guidelines. All probes are one-use disposable, gloves are always worn and all tweezers are dry-heat sterilized to ensure strict safety precautions.
Simply contact our office for a complimentary and confidential consultation. We will review your health history and esthetic goals, and a personalized treatment plan will be developed for you.
